Women’s Equality Party

PROBLEM:

With the two-party voting system in the UK, it’s very difficult for smaller parties to attempt to change the political system.

ACTION:

Led on both short and long-term social media strategies across Meta, TikTok, Twitter & LinkedIn. Worked alongside household names to create both authentic and more highly produced content.

RESULT:

Launched TikTok account gaining 125k followers (1+ million likes) and grew Instagram account by 233%. Average following growth of 50% across Twitter & Facebook. Campaign performance:

  • Worked with Sandi Toksvig to script, film, edit and produce an ‘authentic’ video taking part in a TikTok trend to gain new members. This received a reach of 2M and exceeded the party’s member target by 125%.

  • Exposing misogyny in the police received an online reach of 1M+ and publication in the Guardian, the Standard and the Independent, alongside nationwide legislative change.

  • Worked with Ugly Duckling animation studio to design the Party Election Broadcast. This video was broadcast on the BBC and had an online reach of 500,000 with 5,000 engagements.
